I've just finished putting together Workout Music Mix #07, which is an hour-long mix of top40 club and mainstream dance tracks. It's not my usual style, but a very fun mix to listen to or work out with. Click here for a link to download it.

Attention producers: I now have a dropbox set up on my SoundCloud page. If you want to submit tracks for possible inclusion on Subterranean Homesick Grooves, my weekly radio show, send them there. Tracks are most likely to get played if they fit the format of the show (progressive/tech-house). And feel free to follow my SoundCloud page too, while you're visiting! Please note that you do NOT have to be a SoundCloud user to submit tracks to the dropbox!

I've often featured mixes in the past from a friend of mine, Sean Keating. If you're looking for some new "older" music to listen to, check out this collection of several of his classic mixes that I just put online.

The "Live at the Las Vegas Castles" set (four hours of deep house) is now available here as a download. Definitely a different style than usual, but there's some great music in it that you should check out.

June 28th, 2011:
James Sadoway and I have just been working on a little project recently, just for fun. We have a dubstep remix of Avicii's "Penguin" track, along with some video footage that I took while I was in Antarctica. You can right-click here to download the remix, but in the meantime, check out the video on YouTube:

I had some problems with my main ISP this week, relating to bandwidth constraints. As a result, I had to temporarily remove all of the demo DJ mixes from the site (both my own, and those mixed by other DJ's). I've found a temporary solution to the problem which now allows all of my own mixes to be online again. Unfortunately, it will probably be early September before I find a solution to allow all of the other mixes to become available again.

For beginning or aspiring DJ's who want to learn more about how a mixer works, I just put together a basic tutorial video. Click here for more info:

I now have photo galleries online from both Argentina and Antarctica, in the photo section. If you like the photos, I'd appreciate if you would share them by posting a link on your Facebook profile pages! I've got a bit more detail about the trip at this blog post.

Here's a pretty funny little web animation for any of the "techno" fans out there: www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail45.html.

Spring is near, and love is in the air. This is a pretty old flash parody, but some of you may not have seen it before: click HERE to see a flash animation of an "alternative version" of one of N'Sync's mindless megahits.

This week's humourous site of the week is for every club DJ who ever got sick of requests for Destiny's Child's "Independent Woman." I think you'll like this version a lot better than the original!

DJ Bolivia is Jonathan "Scooter" Clark, an Atlantic Canadian DJ and music producer who owns and operates a small recording studio in Sackville, New Brunswick. Jonathan is a classically trained pianist, who also plays the guitar and a few other instruments. Thanks to following a career as a nightclub manager for twenty years, Jonathan quickly became skilled as a DJ. His primary focus when playing internationally is house/trance/techno, especially progressive and tribal house, but he also frequently plays mainstream/top40 sets at venues closer to home. Why turn down a good paid booking just because it's not your main style?

DJ Bolivia is currently working on a couple of Masters programs in Music Theory and Production from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, and will complete those in mid 2012. At that point, his goal is to start working on electronic music production professionally, and to operate the recording studio as a secondary focus. When asked about the future, he'll say, "Everything up to this point has been a hobby, just practice and learning. Once I finish my studies at Berklee and get some more confidence in my own production work, then I can start to work seriously on a career in the electronic music industry."
